Laurina Klerks
Laurina ('Lien') Maria Klerks was born in Drunen on 16 June 1904, a daughter of Leonardus Klerks and Francijna Ballier, and grew up in the large family in Elshout. In 1929 she married, in Drunen, Marinus Johannes Pulles, a farmer from Oudheusden; together they had several children — one little boy died as early as 1936 — and later grandchildren. After Marinus died in 1969 she was left a widow. Her memorial card remembers her as a deeply religious and caring woman with a strong devotion to Mary — 'the Wondrous Mother of Elshout' — who, despite a long and painful illness, kept caring for others. She died in 's-Hertogenbosch on 1 May 1974 and was buried in the cemetery of Elshout on 4 May 1974.

Notes
Leo's genealogy (source S1) mistakenly recorded a death in infancy for Laurina on 11 April 1905. That death in fact concerns her young-deceased sister Gijsberdina Maria (P0160), who died on 11 April 1907 at eleven months old. Laurina herself reached adulthood and married in 1929 (see life story).
